How it fits together

One database, many front doors

Every listing lives once, in WordPress. The main site reads it; everything else either sends people to it or feeds it.

How the RacerPacer sites connect Behind the scenes, the CMS is fed by the content checks. It sends listings over its API to racerpacer.com, which sits with clubs, posters, pace and builtby as the sites people use. Those serve runners, clubs and race organisers, who send new listings back through the submit form. A weekly Instagram post and email bring people in. Pace, intervals, log

  • Enter one result, get equivalent times from 400m to 50K, from two models side by side (Riegel and Daniels' VDOT).
  • Speed, distance, time: fill in any two and the third solves.
  • An interval builder with 11 built-in sessions, Yasso 800s to hill reps, plus your own.

Two free WordPress kits

  • Club kit: the theme and plugins behind clubs.racerpacer.com. Run a directory of clubs, or a site for just yours.
  • Event kit (Wildstride): one page per race weekend with each race's distance, climb, technical grade, GPX and kit list, then results and photos afterwards.
  • How-to posts, one job at a time, and a free first conversation if you get stuck.

The Wildstride demo site: Run into the last light. Finish in the dark.

Instagram · email

The week ahead

Midweek, every week: one Instagram post and one email on the races coming up in the week ahead. Every race in them is checked against WordPress first, so the dates and distances match the site.

  • A 1080 x 1080 square built from a template, with photos rotated so none repeats too soon.
  • A short email that sends readers to each race's page.
  • Each post is reviewed against its own numbers, and the next one follows from what worked.

Come and have a look
